LPC

Thanks to Gene's coaching, I'm trying to utilize sensory redirection techniques when I end my work days counseling others. When I leave the building I try to focus on the chill or rain on my face or body, find some happy music that I can sing loudly to as I drive home, and when I get home I try to take care of my outside animals which always softens my mood if I'm still feeling the effects of work. If all of those don't work, prayer is always effective. Thanks to Gene, I am a huge advocate and promoter of positive self care.

Jan, I truly appreciate your input. It was awesome working with you. I certainly learned a lot from you as well, especially your humor and grounded perspective as a helper!
